As I am now closer to the end than the beginning of this pilgrimage
I long to hold on to the simplicity found here
My possessions all tucked and carried on my back
No daily planner with demands of calls, meetings, and events
No appointments for new tires and oil changes
Little energy spent on deciding what to eat, what to wear
Clutter and consumerism do not hold rank here
Comparison and social standing of little care on this path
The Camino calls the pilgrim
In a clear direction
To travel lightly
Both inwardly and outwardly
Creating a spaciousness
For
That
Which
Truly
Matters.
He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. Psalm 18:19
